Biography
Diana Pirags is a talented professional singer, composer, producer and the owner of a strong and recognizable voice with a touch of a Latin charm. Besides the vocal arts, she plays flute and piano. Diana takes part in many local and international projects in cooperation with major artists of Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, USA, Brazil, Cuba, Chile & Spain, Malta, Italy, Portugal, Japan and many other countries.

Diana Pirags was born in Riga, Latvia, in 1984 to a very musical family. Her mother is a singer as well; she has been close to music and singing at all times. As a child, Diana took piano lessons and sang at every opportunity. When she was 8 years old, her interest in music was enhanced by an inspiring teacher who thought that music was the best way to bring people together. Diana discovered a love of music, and she wanted to be a singer. Diana has been a joyful, talented and musical kid since early childhood. Having graduated Pavula Jurjana Music School flute class in 2000, later Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy in 2006. Her interest in Latin-American music grew. She began experimenting with different kinds of vocal music, and finally decided to pursue a career as a Latin singer. During her college years, she started singing and performing with many musicians from Latvia in various styles, including pop, salsa, rumba-flamenco, lounge, soulful and Latin-house. Favorite singers: Nina Pastori, Celia Cruz, Beyoncé, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner and Gal Costa.

Diana has participated in concerts and musical projects such as Hamburg Music college & theatre under Prof. Dr. Kristop Senher direction, Latvian Chamber Choir “Fortius”, “Džeza brāļi”, “Time after time”, “Animales Ingratos” (Ukraine), Max Warshavsky (Saxophone — Germany), Tiago Loei (Brazil), Raimonds Pauls, Olga Pirags, Gunars Rozenbergs & Mirage Jazz Orchestra, Raitis Asmanis big band.
Diana’s present set is based on oldies & goldies, familiar and not so familiar tunes in Spanish, French, Italian, Arabian, Russian, Latvian and Portuguese. Her performances are also boosted with contemporary hit & Latin dance music.

In 2020th, Diana Pirags represented Albano Carrisi song “Terra d’ambra e di emozioni”.
Diana Pirags is a lead singer and participant in such groups as “Smooth band”, “Gipsymania”, “La Petit Paris”, “Chocolad”, Love Riders, “Ritmo Tropicana”, and joins in musical projects like Futura Fashion, “No Drums, No Problem”.
Participant in many festivals, competitions and master classes in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Czech Republic.
